It is a sequel to HuniePop with the player controlling the same protagonist, and will feature returning characters from HuniePop and HunieCam Studio. Development Ī sequel, HuniePop 2: Double Date, is in production. She also becomes dateable after one bedroom game. She gives the player tips on how to interact with each woman and explains how the game's various mechanics work. Unlike regular dates, the player has unlimited moves to complete the bedroom game, but the score meter constantly drains over time, so to win, matches must be made quickly until the meter is full.Throughout the game the player is guided by Kyu, a love fairy set on turning the player into a successful Lothario. After 3 successful dates with a woman, the player will be able to take them on a date at night, and if that date is successful, the player can bring the woman to their bedroom for one final round of tile matching (and, if this is successful, have sexual intercourse with her). Each successful date will also raise the game's difficulty, making subsequent dates require more points to complete. After a successful date, the player is rewarded with a picture of the woman the date was with. The player can also use special items called 'date gifts' during their dates which grant positive effects to help the player earn more points. Each woman has a specific type of token that they like and dislike, and players will gain more points if they match the type of token that the woman prefers. The player must earn enough points to complete the date before they run out of moves. They could have at least release all-aged versions on BOTH Steam and GoG to commemorate the support they had received from other platforms, instead of that sudden change of heart with the guys that almost "had ruined their bussiness".In order to progress through the game, players must take the women on dates, where they will play a tile matching game where they must make matches of 3 or more of the same tokens. But HuniePot owes us for backing their asses 3 years ago. I mean, it's your choice, if you can still believe Valve after all that ♥♥♥♥. Without a trace of recollection that there is another, more dangerous title. So, Resetera guys had a perfect target that existed on Steam without a proper age-gate which could have scored Valve some real legal penalties, but yet they choose HuniePop and some more titles. The thing is, it's author is quite a figure, you can google that (allegedally, she works for Valve now). This one existed way before the new age-gate (aka "18+ greenlight"), fully uncensored, never removed and only got "Adults only" tag in 2019. Because, you know, they happen to be unfair. Yeah, look at games like Mao Mao Discovery Team, that got removed despite the "Adults only" tag applied to them, never returned and stipped it's dev from DLsite royalities (for not publishing uncensored images on the West).īy the way, this thread isn't about having an adult content or not. Look at games like House Party and pretty much every game with 'sexual content' tag. There is 0 excuse now in 2021 to not have 18+ content in the game. They even allow in-steam DLCs to remove censorship from games. Since then valve has adapted to 18+ content on their platform and is allowing it perfectly with the proper tags. Originally posted by Haim:This is an old tweet / talks from 2018. In all honesty, I do hope this was a big compelled mistake that can still be fixed. I simply can't freaking comperhend how HuniePot could have gone with getting an aproval from Valve when they had this middle finger-option followed by majority of 18+ devs and publish an all-ages version + R18 patch, to strip any exclussivity from Steam release and to prevent those trendy sacrificial rituals hosted by Valve? So, yeah, Valve screwed the Highest Morality and the Freedom of Thought both in the end. How can they possibly trust Valve now, when most of the devs and players could not? Since that and two other witch hunts, my library now has a number of games that were replaced with all-ages versions + patch on Steam. After all that ♥♥♥♥ befallen on HuniePot, it seems super strange that they got to publish their new game on Valve's terms.
